📖The Birth of Lonfo
From Poem to Profile Picture
"The Lonfo" is a poem penned by Fosco Maraini in 1978, utilizing a fabricated language to stir emotions purely via its sound. It's seen as an illustration of metasemantics, where the concocted language gains significance solely through its grammar and syntax. The essence of the poem emerges from the author's knack for crafting a piece that flows from his heart and mind, invoking deep feelings in readers and reciters alike.

Jack, the Lonfo artist, crafted a character called Lonfo during an assignment for his art school class but left it untouched for years. Then, one day, he encountered Gambi and Deddu and shared the tale of its creation with them. After hearing the story and seeing the drawing, Gambi and Deddu thought Lonfo would be ideal for a series of profile pictures. Together, they agreed to undertake this project.
